Arrest made in string of overnight robberies

Police have arrested a teen they believe to be connected with four armed robberies overnight, and are still looking for another two individuals. The first robbery occurred around 10:20 p.m. at a 7 Eleven store in Millcreek. Three masked men confronted the clerk, one of them wielding a black handgun, who was outside the store at the time, and held the clerk there while another headed inside the store. The robbers fled the scene in a maroon Nissan Altima. The clerk was unharmed.

Roughly 20 minutes later another 7 Eleven was hit in Midvale. The robbery occurred in the same manner as the first hit, with the exception that the robbers fled on foot rather than in a vehicle. Then around midnight a 7 Eleven was hit in West Valley City, The string finally ended after a Maverik was hit in Salt Lake City.

Police arrested a 15-year-old boy at the Salt Lake City location in connection with the robbery. The boy is still being questioned by police. Additionally a handgun was recovered from the scene.

Unified, West Valley, and Salt Lake City police are all working together on the investigation. Unified Police Department detectives are asking anyone with information to call 801-743-7000.
